Children and Education
Perhaps no country invests as much in its youth as Ireland with all schooling right through to third level education either free or heavily subsidised by the Government.
Ireland`s has a strong reputation for having a very well-educated workforce, which is undoubtedly due to the investment in education from an early age. A very high proportion of secondary students go on to third level education.
In Dublin there are a wealth of excellent private schools, most costing less than 5,000 euros per child per annum.
The 2 major universities in Dublin are UCD and Trinity College, although in addition there are a large number of technical colleged.
For childrens activities, Dublin is more about social interaction than organised activities (although there are still sufficient of the latter for a major metropolis), so our advice is just bring your kids to one of the many parks in Dublin and get out the football and they`ll have a few new friends in no time!
